Privacy policy
This policy explains what Belgium EOR Insider collects, why, and what you can do about it. It is written to be read rather than to be impressive.
The short version
- You can read every page on this site without giving us anything.
- We collect personal data only when you send it to us — by contacting us.
- We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with providers reviewed on this site.
- We use basic aggregate analytics to understand which pages are read. We do not build advertising profiles.
- You have rights under the GDPR, including access, correction and erasure. Ask and we will action it.
What we collect
| Category | What and why |
|---|---|
| Information you send us | Your name, contact details and the content of your message, when you contact us. Used to reply to you and for nothing else. |
| Technical data | Standard server information generated by any web request: IP address, browser and device type, referring page, date and time. Used for security and to keep the site working. |
| Analytics | Aggregate measures of page views and navigation, used to decide what to write and what to correct. Configured to avoid identifying individuals. |
We do not collect special category data, we do not ask for it, and we would rather you did not send it. Please do not include an identifiable employee’s personal details in a message to us — describe the situation generically instead.
Legal bases
- Legitimate interests for keeping the site secure and available, and for aggregate analytics.
- Consent for any non-essential cookie or measurement that requires it, and for any optional communication you opt into.
- Performance of a request where you have asked us for something and we need your details to provide it.
- Legal obligation where we are required to retain or disclose something.
Cookies
We use only what the site needs to function, plus aggregate analytics. We do not run advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and we do not operate retargeting. You can block or delete cookies in your browser; the site will continue to work.
Retention
Correspondence is kept for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and a reasonable period afterwards, then deleted. Server logs are kept for a short period for security purposes. Analytics data is retained in aggregate form.
Sharing
We use third-party service providers for hosting, email and analytics, who process data on our instructions. We do not sell personal data, and we do not pass your details to EOR providers, interim agencies or any other company reviewed on this site — including when you ask us about one of them.
We may disclose information where we are legally required to, or to protect the security of the site.
International transfers
Some service providers operate outside the European Economic Area. Where that is the case, transfers rely on an adequacy decision or on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you may request access to your personal data, correction of inaccurate data, erasure, restriction of processing, portability, and you may object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing relies on consent you may withdraw it at any time.
To exercise any of these, contact us. We will respond within one month. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the Belgian Data Protection Authority (Gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit / Autorité de protection des données) or to the supervisory authority in your own country.

Our guides link to provider websites and to official Belgian bodies. Those sites have their own privacy practices, which we do not control and are not responsible for.
Children
This site is aimed at employers and HR professionals and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes
We update this policy when our practices change. The version in force is the one published here.
